Sorry for being off topic..
I saw you infront of MENAKA THEATRE today after coming out watching PATRE LOVES PADMA.. You were standing just opposite to the theatre along with your friends.. I came near to you and stood besides you.. Many a times, I thought of speaking to you.. In fact, I was starting at you most of the times in a confused state whether to talk to you or not.. I thought, it might hurt your privacy..

[color=#804080][size=150]I can say PATRE LOVES PADMA is an UNUSUAL, ABNORMAL, BIZZARE & DIFFERENT KIND OF A MOVIE.. You will come out of the theatre in a peculiar kind of mixed feeling .. If somebody asks you how was the movie, your mind will go BLANK confused whether to tell I LIKED IT or I DID NOT LIKE IT.. But, I leave it saying I felt it as a DIFFERENT KIND OF A MOVIE after a long time..
The director has adopted a slow narration style
First half of the movie is in fact really good.. The movie starts off on an interesting note .. Introduction of the hero and his friends .. Hero's flashback story.. his interaction with first two PADMAS .. some interesting twist and turns.. all are really pleasant to watch.. Hey Hudugi song has been used in a creative fashion by the director..
first 45 minutes of the movie was really enjoyable.. there after, the pace slowed down a bit.. Just when crowd was feeling restless, the energising, foot tapping and peppy number 'Elli antha hudukali naa kannadada huduga' really livened up the atmosphere.. AJith and heroine Krittika have danced really well in that song.. Picturisation of the song is also very innovative and enjoyable.. Interval arrived with an interesting twist..
Begining of the second half was also really promising.. Story picked up the tempo.. twists and tunrs were in plenty.. The highlight of the second half is two amazingly beautiful songs 'Novina Butthi' and 'Paadu nOdiro' .. I pick 'Novina Butthi' as the best song of the movie considering the creativity and camera movments.. But, with the introduction of third heroine, it got a bit unrealistic.. the twists and turns thereafter seemed a bit unconvincing.. this is where I got a bit disconnected from the movie.. But, the climax again was interesting and unusual..
If the director had taken a little care in the second half of the movie to make the movie more realistic & fast paced, this movie would have been ONE REAL TREND SETTER KIND..
TECHNICALLY ONE OF THE BEST MOVIES IN THE RECENT TIMES IN KANNADA.. Camera movments, editing, picturisation of the songs are all fantastic and you will never feel that it's the movie by a debutant director..
The real highlight of the movie is mind blowing SONGS (by ARJUN), equally great picturisation and PHOTOGRAPHY.. The songs are sufficient for your money's worth.. It's a TREAT WATCHING THE SONGS OF THIS MOVIE..
Before watching the movie, I had liked the picturisation of the songs 'HEY HUDUGI' & 'HINGYAAKE' .. But, after watching the movie the two songs that are haunting me are
'Elli antha hudukali naa kannadada huduga' and
'Novina Butthi' ..
ActiNgwise, HERO AJITH is adequate.. Still he has a lot to improve.. His body language and dialogue delivery needs to become a bit flexible.. But, for a debutant, he is more than perfect.. Among the three heroine, it's the LITTLE KRITTIKA who walks away with all the honours.. This girl is CUTE, has EXPRESSIVE EYES and has that easeness with her acting.. She really strikes the audience in the song 'ELLI ANTHA HUDUKALI NAA KANNADADA HUDUGI' song with her swift dance steps and bubblyness..The four guys who have acted as FRIENDS of PATRE are not so effective.. Better guys could have been chosen.. Word 'maga' has been used irritatingly more number of times..
The dialogues are also good.. sometimes witty, sometimes serious and sometimes funny also..
Hats off to DIRECTOR CHANDRASHEKAR SHRIVATHSAVA for giving a different kind of a movie.. He has all the hall marks of becoming a great director..

Again the star of the movie is ARJUN.. What a mind blowing music.. THE DAY IS NOT FAR OFF WHEN HE TAKES OVER THE NO.1 MUSIC DIRECTOR SPOT FROM THE LIKES OF MANO MURTHY, HARI KRISHNA, GURU KIRAN ETC.,
Again coming back to the topic .. i could not read most of the words you have written in the song here with fill in the blank options.. It would be better if it's put in kannada fonts..
For typing in kannada font, you can go to orkut with your login id.. then press on the scraps option.. you will get an editor to type.. above that you have the option to select kannada and check the checkbos.. start typing kannada in english and then press space.. english gets converted into kannada..
You might be knowing this.. But, this is the quicket option I have ever seen to type and paste kannada in net.. Also, the option is so user friendly..

nyways... i have a slightly different opinion about Patre...
Actually while watching the first half... I was really impressed.
I was happy with so many things...
I was happy with the slow rythm...the slow camera movements and the picturisation of 'hey hudugi' blew my mind.
I came out of the theatre after the first half and told my friends that I liked the movie because of the 'guts' the director displays in narrative.
But into the second half....i hated the film.
Hated it because I felt the director took his audience for granted and did not do anything to take the film ahead of where it was in the first half....
nyways...like you said... arjun is the hero of the film... his music is the sole winner of the film...not even the camera work because it was irritating to see bad frames in the second half...

Actually, my opinion on PATRE LOVES PADMA is same as you only.. As I have said, first half is really good with a different
kind of narration from the director and when the interval arrives you can feel that the movie gives a different feel.. though
the narration is a tad slow suiting class movies.. That for me looked the speciality of Chandrashekar Shrivasthava.. Treating
a MASS THEME with class approach..
Even in the second half, everything was going on well until third padma entered the scene.. After that, it's only BIZZARE,
BIZZARE & MORE BIZZARE.. Though the climax didn't have the required impact due to the third padma impact, I could still feel
pity for PATRE for the sheer helplessness of that role at that point when he would be chasing the TATA SUMO containing THIRD
PADMA desperately.. If the THIRD PADMA episode had been more realistic and sensible, I am sure PATRE WOULD HAVE RULED AS ONE
OF THE HAUTING MOVIES IN SANDALWOOD.. But, ALAS.. the BIZZAARE THIRD PADMA..
Yes.. even I too was desperately dissapointed at the end of the film considering the VERY VERY GOOD FIRST HALF..But, to tell
you the truth, I was somewhat happy too because after a long time I saw a movie which attempted at being distinctly different
from the type of movies churned out of late.. IT GOES DOWN AS A BOLD ATTEMPT BY A DEBUTANT DIRECTOR WHATEVER MIGHT BE THE
CLITCHED STORY/SCREENPLAY HE HAS COME OUT WITH.. I was in PATRE's HANGOVER for almost two days.. Now every movie looks too
ordinary for me in comparison to PATRE.. The effect of PATRE LOVES PADMA is so heavy on me that PSYCHO (for which I am so
desperately looking forward to) is looking relatively insignficant for me at this point..
YOU MIGHT HATE PATRE LOVES PADMA, BUT YOU CAN NOT IGNORE IT.. THIS MOVIE HAS TO BE ENJOYED WITHOUT CLASSIFYING IT INTO GOOD
OR BAD CATEGORY.. THERE LIES THE SUCCESS OF PATRE.. IN THE BOX OFFICE, PATER MIGHT LOSE OUT MISERABLY AS PER THE INITIAL
INDICATIONS, BUT IN MY HEART IT HAS A SPECIAL SIGNIFICANE.. MUSIC DIRECTOR ARJUN'S CONTRIBUTION HAS THE LION'S SHARE IN IT..
Anyhow, thanks again for your open and honest opinions on a movie by other director.. Again, I really appreciate your great
attitude in this age of professional jealousy..
One more thing ARVIND.. I was not worried when negative reviews started pouring in for PATRE LOVES PADMA.. But, I was really
disturbed when I saw that the morning show for the movie did not become HOUSEFULL .. Considering the hype this movie had
generated, popularity of it's songs, mind blowing trailers and promos, this movie should have easily SOLD OUT ALL THE SHOWS
ON THE FIRST DAY at least in the main theater MENAKA.. It was really a HEART BREAKING for me to digest the fact that CROWD
was not sufficient to FILL THE HOUSE on the FRIDAY MORNING.. Probably, the mass hysterila that BUDDHIVANTHA had generated
might have taken a HEAVY TOLL on PATRE .. But, still, I couldn't get why the shows didn't become HOUSEFULL ON THE FIRST DAY..
Considering this fact, I am requesting you to please start the PROMOTION ACTIVITIES of NAM AREAL ONDINA at the earliest..
Please release the AUDIO asap.. Do not wait until the post production works are over.. Songs need at least 2 months to hot up
in radio channels.. As one of the guy named raman from PATRE LOVES PADMA team told in gandhadagudi.com forum, they found it
difficult to convince big radio players like Radio BIG 92.7, RADIO MIRCHI, FEVER 104, RADIO CITY 91.1 to play their songs
though the songs had become popular in SFM 94.3 .. The sole reason is that it was a product by unknown new comers.. Since it
did not get played in major FMs, the songs lost out on the reach thought they were in the market for more than two months..
So, in this context, for NAM AREAL ONDINA songs to hot up and being played in all the major FM channels, it takes a while..
Also, do not tie up with SFM.. Tie up with one of Radio BIG 92.7, RADIO MIRCHI, FEVER 104, RADIO CITY 91.1 for the premier of
the songs.. May be after 15 days, it should be played in all the major FM channels..
Please do not delay the publicity.. I am really worried after seeing PATRE not getting HOUSEFULL board on the first day.. NAM
AREAL ONDINA should not suffer from lack of publicity.. I WANT TO SEE NAOD SELLING OUT ALL THE SHOWS ON THE FIRST DAY IN THE
MAIN THEATRE..
arvind, ur movie has created much hype i hope u won let it down.. pls wait till u get an right theatre to release dont release in tribuvan, abhinay n aparna even if they give u without rent... even good movies go unnoticed in those theaters...
